Purchase and setup notes to clear before ordering. The full technical audit is below.
The Ryzen 7 5700X (Tray) price of RM865 comes from the attached Shopee MY listing. That listing shows RM865 for every model option, including the 5700X3D.
Confirm the exact model option at checkout. Trays ship without a cooler and usually with a shorter warranty. Verify the 5700X3D price shown here before assuming it costs RM1,300.
The cooler is the AK400 G2 variant listed at RM165; compatibility uses the AK400 platform dimensions (155 mm height, 46 mm RAM clearance).
Confirm the G2 height and RAM clearance at checkout. Either model fits the Aero M 175 mm cooler limit.
The B550M PRO-VDH WIFI listing is a combo page; RM525 is the MOTHERBOARD ONLY base price, with combo variants running up to RM1,450.
Select MOTHERBOARD ONLY at checkout. Do not select a combo variant, which would add a CPU you do not need.
The Fanxiang UD01 16GB (8GB*2) DDR4-3200 CL16 kit is RM519 with 105 in stock, replacing the previous 16GB module and restoring dual-channel.
Confirm the 16GB (8GB*2) 3200MHz CL16 variant at checkout. The 32GB (16GB*2) kit is RM869.90 if you want more headroom.
Storage is the WD Blue SA510 1TB SATA SSD at RM351.72: a 2.5-inch SATA III drive (~550 MB/s), not NVMe.
Connect a SATA data cable and SATA power. Both B550M M.2 slots stay free for a future Gen4 NVMe upgrade.
The selected PowerColor Fighter RX 6600 is used and comes with its original box.
Confirm warranty and return terms and test the card under load before paying. A new card at about RM1,200 would push the parts total to roughly RM4,096, over budget.
Compatibility uses RX 6600 reference dimensions, but the selected card is a board-partner model.
Verify the PowerColor card's length, slot width and 8-pin connector. The Aero M allows graphics cards up to 320 mm.
The RM249.90 listing also sells the MAG A650BN and A750BN.
Select the 550W A550BN variant before checkout.
Build-day checklist
Practical steps for this exact parts list. Check the seller listing and motherboard manual before assembly.
Update the BIOS to 7C95v28
Do thisThe B550M PRO-VDH WIFI may ship with an older BIOS. Ask the seller for the installed version and update to 7C95v28 before first boot. A520 boards may need a supported CPU to flash.
Enable the DDR4-3200 memory profile
InfoAfter the first boot, enable XMP/DOCP in BIOS and verify the memory runs at its rated speed.
Install the GPU in the top PCIe x16 slot
InfoConnect 1× PCIe 8-pin from the PSU. Use the uppermost x16 slot and secure the card to the case.
Mount the 2.5-inch SATA drive
InfoInstall the drive in a 2.5-inch bay and connect both the SATA data cable and PSU SATA power.
Prepare Windows or Linux
InfoNo operating system is included. Create an installer USB and have a licence ready before assembly.
Only checks that require a decision or manual verification.
| Check | Status | Details | Required action |
|---|---|---|---|
| BIOS readiness | WARNING | BIOS 7C95v28 may be required; installed BIOS is unknown, but BIOS Flashback is available. The board may not boot the CPU until updated. BIOS Flashback can usually update the board without a supported CPU. | Update BIOS to 7C95v28 or newer using BIOS Flashback before first boot. |
| GPU / motherboard PCIe | WARNING | GPU uses a PCIe x8 link; bandwidth may be reduced. A suitable x16 slot exists. The GPU's narrower link can reduce performance, especially at the lower generation. | Review performance expectations; no physical incompatibility is present. |
GPU length clearance
